Hundreds 'Milka' Easter Bunnies Protest in Vienna, Austria

With 316 symbolic Milka chocolate bunnies, Greenpeace activists protest at Vienna's Heldenplatz against forest destruction and human rights violations along Milka's supply chain. Milka's parent company Mondelēz processed 316,000 tons of palm oil in 2019 - every second Milka product in Austrian retail currently contains palm oil. The sector is one of the main drivers of rainforest destruction in Indonesia and Malaysia. This destruction of natural habitats significantly favors epidemics such as COVID-19, according to a new study by scientists from France and Thailand.
