Illegal DRC Logs Found at Danzer Bohemia Dýhárna

Greenpeace finds logs originally felled in a Bakri Bois Corporation concession in the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo)at the premises of Danzer Bohemia Dýhárna in Horní Pocaply, Czech Republic. This veneer factory is a unit of the Swiss-based Danzer Group. The logs had been transited from the Belgian port of Antwerp.

Czech Activists Uncover Illegal Logs from DRC

Greenpeace activists uncover illegally logged Wenge wood and display banners reading: ‘Forest Crime Scene’ and 'Ilegálne Vyteženo', at Danzer’s Bohemia Dýhárna premises in Horní Pocaply. Greenpeace calls to the Czech Republic’s Ministry of Agriculture to take appropriate legal action and seize the illegal timber. This veneer factory is a unit of the Swiss-based Danzer Group.
