After a rumor of recently found gold had attracted hundreds of mining rafts for the illegal exploitation in the Autazes region, in Amazonas, the Brazilian government announced an action against the activity within the next few days. The early announcement served as a warning to the miners who, having had enough time to avoid the obvious environmental crime being caught, are running away in small groups between the municipalities of Autazes and Borba. The dispersion has the clear objective of hampering the government's operation, which, however, has not yet started. 

Após um boato de descoberta de ouro ter atraído centenas de balsas de garimpo para a exploração ilegal do minério na região de Autazes, no Amazonas, o governo brasileiro anunciou uma ação contra a atividade dentro dos próximos dias. O anúncio precoce serviu de alerta aos garimpeiros que, tendo tido tempo suficiente para evitar o flagrante do evidente crime ambiental, seguem fugindo em pequenos grupos entre os municípios de Autazes e Borba. A dispersão tem o claro objetivo de dificultar a operação do governo que, todavia, ainda não foi iniciada.
