Import of Tropical Timber Action in Rotterdam
Greenpeace activists prevent the Global Jane from unloading its cargo in the Rotterdam harbour. The ship is carrying tropical timber from Malaysia and Indonesia. With this action Greenpeace is expressing its support to the continuing blockade by Penan people of a logging road in Sarawak. The banner reads "Stop import van fout hout", which translates to English as "Stop import of illegal timber".
