In front of the venue, activists from Germany placed a tree trunk with the words “Stop Killing Forests”.In 2010, the CGF and its members promised to end deforestation by 2020 through “responsible sourcing” of commodities such as cattle and soya, key drivers of forest destruction in Brazil. So far, measures taken by the companies indicate that they will fail to keep this promise.A key concern is the serious increase in violence against Brazilian Indigenous Peoples and the destruction of their lands since President Bolsonaro took office in January.Locations:Berlin-Europe-GermanyDate:24 Oct, 2019Credit:© Midia NINJAMaximum size:6000px X 4000pxRestrictions:MATERIAL PROVIDED BY MIDIA NINJA UNDER UNDER THE CREATIVE COMMONS LICENSE ATTRIBUTION SHARE ALIKE 4.0 (HTTPS://CREATIVECOMMONS.ORG/LICENSES/BY-SA/4.0/)Keywords:Actions and protests-Activists-Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA)-Banners-Burning-Climate (campaign title)-Day-Face painting-Forests (campaign title)-Indigenous People-KWCI (GPI)-National costumes-Outdoors-TreesShoot:Midia NINJA and others - Brazilian Indigenous Leaders' Tour of Europe 2019Photo and video material provided by Midia Ninja organisation and others, under the Creative Commons license Attribution Share Alike 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/)
