During the First Meeting of the Indigenous Peoples from the State of Rondônia, in the Karipuna Indigenous Land, that took place in April 2019, leaders of 18 Indigenous Peoples sent a message to the Brazilian government and to the whole world, expressing the historic struggle of the Karipuna to protect their forest and ensure the continuity of their people themselves: resistance. 

Durante o Primeiro Encontro dos Povos Indígenas de Rondônia, na Terra Indígena Karipuna, que ocorreu em Abril de 2019, líderes de 18 Povos Indígenas mandaram uma mensagem ao governo brasileiro e ao mundo inteiro, expressando a luta histórica dos Karipuna ao proteger sua floresta e garantir a continuidade de seu próprio povo: resistência.
