Inhabitant of Abandoned Village Kolschitchi
Maril Petrovna Povlyuskov offers shelter to abandoned dogs in her neighbourhood. Maril and her husband Evgenyi are the only inhabitants of the abandoned village Kolschitchi in the Chernobyl zone (Mogilev region, Belarus). Kolschitchi was evacuated and most of the houses buried into the ground after the Chernobyl disaster because of severe radioactivity.

Maril Petrovna Povlyuskov und ihr Ehemann Evgenyi sind die einzigen Einwohner des Ortes Kolschitchi in der so genannten Tschernobyler Zone (Mogilev region, Weissrussland). Genauso wie Hunderte anderer Orte in Weissrussland wurde auch Kolschitchi evakuiert und die meisten seiner Haeuser dem Erdboden gleichgemacht auf Grund der extremen radioaktiven Verseuchung nach dem Tschernobyler Reaktorunfall. Maril Petrovna gewaehrt den streunenden Hunden aus der Nachbarschaft Schutz.
