International Women's Day 2018 in Senegal - French
On the occasion of International Women's Day 2018, Greenpeace Africa showcases the voices of African women and the positive role they play in the community through their daily activities. This video shows the daily life of a group of 70 women, working as fish processors in a fishing village named Mar Lodj in Senegal, from the morning to the closing time of the business. It also highlights how coastal ecosystems contribute to the well-being of people by offering them services and a healthy environment. As a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter and a pillar of the family, an African woman plays a vital role in the community. Raising up children and taking care of their education are among their daily tasks.

À l'occasion de la Journée Internationale de la Femme 2018, Greenpeace Afrique présente les voix des femmes africaines et le rôle positif qu'elles jouent dans la communauté à travers leurs activités quotidiennes. Cette série montre la vie quotidienne d'une soixante-dizaine de femmes qui travaillant dans un village de pêcheurs: Marlothie au Sénégal. Elle décrit également comment les écosystèmes côtiers contribuent au bien-être des populations. Une mère, une épouse, une soeur, une fille et un pilier de la famille; une femme africaine joue un rôle vital dans la communauté.
