The demonstration draws attention to the systematic dismantling of the Brazilian environmental protections being pushed by Bolsonaro's administration, which has led the country into one of its worst environmental crises in history.Activists also displayed the message “Pátria Queimada, Brasil” on the burnt land, an allusion to the Brazilian government slogan, and “Brazil on fire”.Brazil’s unprecedented fires are consuming vital biomes across the country. The fires are a result of Bolsonaro's government’s anti-environmental agenda, which has been dismantling environmental protections since he took office.Related Collections:Homepage slideshowReport: Making Mincemeat of the Pantanal - PRESS COLLECTION (Report & Photos)Pantanal Fire Crisis, September 2020 (All Photos & Videos)
