The 600-MW coal plant proposal was submitted by the National Power Supply Company – subsidiary of one of the biggest pulp and paper industry in Thailand “Double A”.After a whole day of deliberations, the coal plant proposal failed again to get approval by the Environmental Expert Commission (EEC). The decision was celebrated by Khao Hin Son anti-coal network, an anti-coal group fighting for around seven years to stop this coal plant project.
