La Cojolita Reserve in Mexico
Servando Lopez Vasquez, a local guide, observes the rainforest of La Cojolita Communal Reserve from a look-out tower near the Lacanja Chansayab Community, in the Lacandona Rainforest. This Communal Reserve belongs to the communities of Nueva Palestina, Lacanja Chansayab and Frontera Corozal, which are currently participating in the REDD+ (Reduction of Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) Programme.
