Land Pollution due to Chinese Fish Industry in West Africa
The beach close to Lem Seafood fish meal factory has become a squalid mess of residue. The process of making fish meal creates a large amount of waste water and residue, much of which is not managed properly.
A new type of Chinese overseas investment, fishmeal factory, is explored as it can be considered as a small Chinese overseas investment that may have implications for Chinese investors in Africa and Africa’s own natural resources.
