Participants learned the connection between throwaway culture and overproduced and consumption, which is causing serious environmental problems, especially by single-use plastics consumption. This time, the event's theme was fast-fashion, which uses more than 60% of synthetic textiles. The event consisted of a workshop to learn how to upcycle their own clothes and clothing swap session so that the participants can personally experience that it's not difficult to reduce our consumption and reuse them instead of buying new ones. Locations:East Asia-Republic of Korea-SeoulDate:30 Mar, 2019Credit:© Greenpeace / David Jaemin ByunMaximum size:2668px X 4000pxKeywords:Anti-consumerism-Clothing-Day-Greenpeace offices-Indoors-KWCI (GPI)-Local population-Make Smthng (campaign title)-Public engagement-Recycling-Women-Workshops (events)Shoot:Make Smthng Event in Korea - March 2019Greenpeace Seoul office held the first of monthly 'make smthng' events in 2019 as part of the Plastic Zero Korea campaign.
