Memorial for Marine Creatures Action at Taiwan’s Fisheries Agency
Greenpeace activists hold a memorial for marine creatures in front of the Fisheries Agency in Taiwan. The longer it takes for the Fisheries Agency to act on reforming the regulations around IUU (Illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing) and sustainable fisheries in Taiwan, the more marine creatures will suffer from destructive and unsustainable fishing practices. The idea behind the NVDA (non violent direct action) is to use sarcasm to let the Fisheries Agency, media, and the pubic know that there's not that much time left to protect the ocean through sustainable fishing practices and better execution of fishery regulations in Taiwan.
