Water Sampling for Microplastic on River Mersey in UK
Greenpeace UK campaigners and scientists carry out water sampling during an investigation on plastic and microplastics pollution on the River Mersey, UK.
The activity is part of a joint initiative between Greenpeace UK and Greenpeace Science Laboratory, conducting the biggest ever survey of plastic pollution, including micro and macro plastics, in UK rivers, covering 12 rivers and 237 specific sample sites. The sites are focused around both politically important constituencies and plastic production facilities.
