Mother and Child in Henan

Su Yunxia with her newly born baby boy. The father Zhang Qiaoliang, 25 years old, died of throat cancer just before the birth of his child. The cluster of paper and chemical factories about 15km upstream is discharging polluted waste water into the stream used by the village where Su Yunxia and her child live. To protect the health of the local population and the environment Greenpeace is calling for zero discharge of hazardous chemicals.
