Mountain Forest Project in Entlebuch Switzerland
The Mountain Forest Project in Entlebuch, Switzerland, was created in 1987, in the middle of the debate about the forest dieback (a condition in trees in which peripheral parts are killed, either by parasites or due to conditions like acid rain and drought). The project was a spin-off for Greenpeace who financed it for a long time. Today it is independent, renowned, internationally engaged and it builds a bridge between the environmental protection and the mountain population.
