Mountain Goat in Canadian Boreal Forest
Mountain goat (Oreamnos americanus), also known as the Rocky Mountain goat.
These agile herbivores hop nimbly up and down rocky cliffs, grazing on grasses, ferns, moss and lichen. They are members of the antelope family and are not actually goats. They can be found in west coast mountains, including the area of the boreal forest that straddles the borders of BC and the Yukon.
