The Nuclear Free Irish Sea Flotilla, (made up of yachts and vessels from England, Wales and Ireland), supported by the Greenpeace ship SV Rainbow Warrior, took to the seas 28 miles off of the coast of Southern Ireland, to peacefully protest against BNFL ship Pacific Pintail, and Pacific Teal  due to arrive in Barrow In Furness with its cargo of rejected plutonium fuel at the end of its voyage from Takahama, Japan.
