Nuclear Calendar Launch
A man from Surat Thani province, one of the provinces being selected to host Thailand's proposed nuclear power plants, reads "365 reasons to oppose nuclear power," a Greenpeace calendar launched in Bangkok. The calendar is a record of accidents caused by nuclear industries from all over the world every day.
Greenpeace today condemned Thailand's power development plan (PDP) for inclusion of five nuclear power plants, as "a costly and life-endangering risk" to Thailand's future and demanded the closure of the Nuclear Power Program Development Office (NPPDO).
