Nuri Okcu worked at Soma Coal Power Plant for many years. Thanks to the resistance of the locals of Yırca (Soma), the 2nd coal power plant project has been cancelled. But due to the air pollution, he decided not to live in Soma and moved to Dikili. His brother died of cancer, his father died of COPD, and he is currently suffering from COPD.
