YahNé Ndgo speaks at the occupation for climate justice at the Democratic National Committee Headquarters.

YahNé Ndgo (Ya-Nae Indigo), born in the part of Lenape territory known as Philadelphia in the so-called United States of America, is a Freedom Fighter, writer, and singer. As an organizer she struggles toward abolition of and liberation from capitalism, colonialism and imperialism for all people. She is a Coordinating Committee Member and the Outreach Coordinator of the Black Alliance for Peace, and a Core Organizer with Black Lives Matter Philly, representing the chapter with the Black Lives Matter National Network. She is a founding member of the Ububtu Freedom Build and helped launch the Black Philly Radical Collective.

On Thursday, November 19, a coalition of community activists, unions, climate advocates, and newly-elected members of Congress hold a rally at the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee, demanding bold action to address the interconnected crises of the COVID pandemic, and the economic and climate threats facing our communities.
