Ocean Trading Logging Camp
Child and logs at Makaleve Camp, the Ocean Trading logging camp, Marovo Lagoon, Solomon Islands. Ocean Trading logging camp is owned by Pan Pacific and JB enterprises next door to Chuchulu Village where the Greenpeace supported ecoforestry project takes place. The week after these pictures were taken, the manager was arrested for fraud in September 2004. There were many logs at this camp of the species Dillenia Solomonensis which are illegal to log according to Solomons law.
