Oceans Petition Handover in Bern
Greenpeace Switzerland hands over the petition "Switzerland must take a stand regarding Ocean Protection" to the Federal Council. In the petition, around 20,000 people call on the Federal Council, and in particular on Environmental Minister Simonetta Sommaruga, to publicly advocate for effective marine protection at the United Nations. This requires a strong international agreement on the protection of the high seas and a moratorium on deep-sea mining.
