They are kept in this protected area before being reintroduced back into their natural environment. The rehabilitation and release into the wild is becoming increasingly difficult due to the extensive logging, devastating fires and land clearance for palm oil plantations which clear-cut thousands of hectares of virgin rainforest every day.
