Our Heart is This Land - Documentary (English version)

This short documentary tells the story of the Secwepemc and Khanty Indigenous Peoples in Canada and Russia, who—despite being thousands of kilometers apart—face a common threat: an oil industry bent on reaping profits without regard for their land and human rights.

This project aimed to be a strong example of Indigenous allyship, highlighting the voices of those most directly affected, and taking shape based on their participation. That’s why the video is unbranded, and was launched on Indigenous folks’ own channels.

This is a story of resilience and unwavering courage: living on the land—a part of themselves—Indigenous Peoples resist. Living on the land—their second heart—they will never give up, and they will win.

This video includes footage from the lands of the Secwepemc and the Khanty, as well as from other regions in North America and Russia, which are also under threat.
