Palauan Law Enforcement With Captain
Palauan law enforcement and Greenpeace volunteer Yen Ning, onboard the Taiwanese longling fishing vessel, 'Sheng Chi Hui No. 7' at sea in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the Pacific island nation of Palau. The 'Sheng Chi Hui No. 7' is suspected to have been shark finning contravening Palauan law on 08 December 2011. Palau waters were established as a shark sanctuary in 2009. The Taiwanese long line fishing vessel is currently being escorted back to the port of Koror, Palau, by the Palauan law enforcement vessel and the Greenpeace ship. Greenpeace have signed a formal agreement with the Palauan Government to patrol their waters.
