Locations:Patagonia-South AmericaDate:20 Nov, 2018Credit:© Greenpeace / Pablo E. Countless supporters of the indigenous people fall victim to the clashes. Most recently, the 24-year-old Camilo Catrillanca, who was killed in mid-November on a tractor by a shot in the back by the state police. On the tractor next to Catrillanca sits a 15-year-old Mapuche boy who is arrested, beaten and tortured. Testimony written a few hours after the assassination by a human rights organization exposes the official version of the police, which speaks of a confrontation and blames Catrillanca for the escalation, as false. Police chief Hermes Soto has to admit that video footage has been destroyed. A few days later, the four police officers present at the shooting were arrested and an investigation into the case was started.Related Collections:Patagonia – Territory in Conflict
