Unterschrieben haben ihn 48 Bauernverbaende aus aller Welt, darunter die groessten Organisationen aus Argentinien, Indien, Italien, Schweden, der Schweiz und Spanien. Unterstuetzt wird der Aufruf auch von Entwicklungsorganisationen und Umweltverbaenden wie Misereor, Greenpeace, Swissaid und der Erklaerung von Bern. Die Unterzeichner insgesamt 173 Organisationen wenden sich insbesondere gegen Patente auf Saatgut und Nutztiere.
