Peaceful Climate Protest at Hamburg's Harbour
Greenpeace activists demonstrate in front of the Elbphilharmonica in Hamburg's harbour district for a fast and consistent implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement by the G20 states. Greenpeace activists demonstrate in Hamburg's harbour district for a fast and consistent implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement by the G20 states.
The environmentalists on the "Beluga II" pull a seven-meter high sculpture of US President Donald Trump on a pontoon in front of the concert hall. The G20 bosses will attend a concert there as a part of the official G20 Summit Program. The sculpture shows Trump as a crying baby with a full diaper sitting on a globe. In his hands he holds the ripped Paris climate agreement. The banner reads: "Time for a Change".
The figur was made by Duesseldorf carnival cartwright Jacques Tilly.
"The other G20 leaders cannot wait for Donald Trump to grow up." says Greenpeace climate expert Karsten Smid. "The G19 have to show that they decided to leave coal, oil and gas in the ground, as agreed in Paris." Trump announced to leave the Paris Climate Agreement in early June this year.

Unter der Figur steht „Time For A Change“.
