Pelagic Freezer-trawler Association Ships

The Prins Bernhard, one of 34 pelagic freezer trawlers in the PFA fleet. These ships catch fish living near the surface of the water, such as herring, mackerel, horse mackerel, sardines, sardinellas, silver smelt and blue whiting. The majority of these fisheries are unsustainable due to overfishing.
