Mit einem 2,5 Meter großen gelben X, dem Symbol des Braunkohlewiderstands, protestieren Greenpeace Aktivistinnen und Aktivisten vor der Staatskanzlei in Düsseldorf gegen die Braunkohlepläne von Ministerpräsident Armin Laschet (CDU). Unterstützt von 57.974 Unterschriften fordern die Klimaschützerinnen und Klimaschützer von Laschet, die geplante Ausweitung des RWE-Braunkohletagebaus Garzweiler II und damit Zerstörung weiterer Dörfer zu beenden.
