Protest against Barbie in Denmark
Greenpeace action at the BR and ToysRus Nordic Headquarters in Tuna near Roskilde. Activists put up a large banner saying "Det er slut Barbie: Jeg dater ikke Piger der ødelægger regnskoven" ("Barbie, it's over: I don't date girls that are into deforestation"), and hand out leaflets to employees urging the companies to demand Mattel, the producer of Barbie, to stop using pulp from the Indonesian rainforest in their packaging. The pulp comes from the largest supplier of Indonesian pulp, Asia Pulp & Paper (APP. APP is involved in deforestation in Bukit Tigapuluh and Kerumutan where the endangered Sumatran tigers live.
