Anlass ist die erste Anhoerung zu einer Grundsatzentscheidung im europaeischen Patentwesen: Anhand eines Patentes auf Brokkoli, Tomaten und daraus hergestellte Lebensmittel will das Amt entscheiden, ob natuerliche Ressourcen weiterhin als "Erfindung" beansprucht werden koennen.
