Greenpeace activists peacefully protest in front of ANAM’s office (National Agency for Maritime Affairs) to demand the complete re-calculation of the industrial fishing vessels in Senegal.
The activists unfold banners with the message "To allow tonnage fraud is to jeopardize fishing" and "Re-calculation of vessels tonnage: ANAM how far are you? ".
Since 2016, the process of the re-calculation of the industrial fishing vessels is still lagging. This is despite the commitments made by the Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy and the heavy financial, social and environmental consequences the tonnage fraud continues to have in Senegal.
