Greenpeace activists demonstrate with a banner saying "Quit Coal Now! Forest and Villages are Staying!" at the headquarters of the energy company RWE in Essen for the rapid shutdown of the first coal-fired power plants and the preservation of the Hambach Forest as well as the villages threatened by the expansion. The activists demand a moratorium from RWE CEO Schmitz, to stop any destruction in the villages and in the forest until the plan for the German coal exit has been decided. 

Aktivist*innen demonstrieren mit einem Banner mit der Aufschrift "Kohle abschalten jetzt! Wald und Doerfer bleiben!" am Hauptsitz des Kohlekonzerns RWE in Essen fuer das rasche Abschalten erster Kohlekraftwerke und den Erhalt des Hambacher Waldes sowie der von der Abbaggerung bedrohten Doerfer. Sie fordern von RWE-Chef Schmitz ein Moratorium, welches jegliche Zerstoerung in den Doerfern und im Wald stoppt, bis ueber den Fahrplan für den deutschen Kohleausstieg entschieden ist.
