Ten Greenpeace activists are calling for a consistent restart of social democratic climate policy at the beginning of the SPD party congress in Berlin in front of the entrance to the conference centre.

They are building the message "Restart Climate" with almost two-metre-high, luminous letters.

The candidates Saskia Esken and Norbert Walter-Borjans had linked their election campaign for the SPD presidency with climate protection measures that are supposed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions more effectively and be more socially just.

Ihren Wahlkampf um den SPD-Vorsitz hatten die Kandidaten Saskia Esken und Norbert Walter-Borjans mit Klimaschutz-Maßnahmen verknuepft, die den Ausstoß von Treibhausgasen effektiver senken und sozial gerechter sein sollen.
