April 2013: An der Generalversammlung von Syngenta prangert Francesco Panella, Präsident der italienischen Imkervereinigung UNAAPI und Sprecher der European Beekeeping Coordination, den weltweit führenden Pestizidkonzern wegen seinem Milliardengeschäft mit dem Bienenkiller-Pestizid Thiamethoxam an. Er und Greenpeace fordern die EU- und Schweizer Politik auf, Thiamethoxam sofort zu verbieten. Draussen vor der St. Jakobshalle protestieren Imkerinnen und Imker gemeinsam mit Greenpeace-Aktivistinnen und -Aktivisten gegen Syngentas Bienengift-Verkäufe.
