Greenpeace activists protest at the Nord Stream 1 Baltic Sea pipeline in Lubmin to call for a halt to imports of Russian gas as soon as possible. Nord Stream 1 is one of three gas pipelines that transport Russian gas to Germany. The underwater pipeline is the only direct connection between Russia and Germany. On a 45 x 38 meter banner, activists at the landfall of the gas pipelines demand: "Stop Gas! End War!". A red X symbolically blocks the Baltic Sea pipeline in the dunes.

Nord Stream 1 ist eine von drei Gaspipelines, die russisches Gas nach Deutschland leitet. Die Unterwasserpipeline ist die einzige direkte Verbindung zwischen Russland und Deutschland.
