The cargo of the ship was spruce from the Primorsky region in Russia's Far East. Greenpeace traced illegal logs to the port of Plastun where the ship loaded its cargo. Greenpeace conducted an undercover investigation and released a report which concluded that appoximately 20% of the Russian logs had been harvested illegally.
