Water Sampling for Microplastics on River Severn in UK

Greenpeace campaigners and scientists sample water in an investigation on plastic and microplastics pollution on the river Severn, UK.
The activity is part of a joint initiative between Greenpeace UK and Greenpeace Science Laboratory,  conducting the biggest ever survey of plastic pollution, including micro and macro plastics, in UK rivers, covering 12 rivers and 237 specific sample sites. The sites are focused around both politically important constituencies and plastic production facilities.
