School Students Strike for Climate in Sydney

On May 3rd thousands of school students all across Australia take action at 70 Federal MP offices around the country as part of the Climate Election National Day of Action. The students are protesting the Australian government's inaction on climate change and the Adani coal mine ahead of the federal election taking place on May 18th. These photos are from the protest outside Labor MP for Grayndler Anthony Albanese's Office in Marrickville, Sydney. Over 200 students and supporters showed up, speeches were delivered from students from the Australian Climate Strike 4 Action Movement who led protesters in a series of songs on kazoos to draw attention to their demands. This action is part of the ongoing global Fridays for Future and Youth Strike 4 Climate movements.
