Search for a Humpback whale in the Baltic Sea - News Access
Baltic Sea, 25.8.2008 - Today Greepeace marine ecologist JÖRG FEDDERN gets on a plane to search for a humpback whale (called 'Bucki') that went astray and was in danger of stranding. At first the whale was sighted near the German island Rügen, then Denmark and at last at the Lübeck bay near Grömitz. During the flight the Greenpeace team didn't spot the whale. Then on Sunday a humpback whale was sighted at the Kattegat, inbetween the Danish and Norwegian coast. Jörg Feddern stated that it is most likely that this whale is the very same one that was spotted the days before. Statement: Jörg Feddern, Greenpeace Germany marine ecologist
