Farmers from the villages of Solana town in Cagayan arrive at the town's gym to avail free organic rice seeds and fertilizers distributed by a network of organization supported by Greenpeace to the farmers affected by the typhoon Lawin (Haima) at the Villa Domingo Renewal Center in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan province.
Greenpeace is calling President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration to support a food policy that will put farmers’ needs on top priority and put in place a system that can readily respond to farmers in rebuilding their farms immediately after a crisis and change the current dominant system of agriculture - from monoculture and chemical intensive farming – to diverse, integrated, sustainable and climate resilient farming system.
