The icebreaking Greenpeace ship, the Arctic Sunrise and her crew, are facilitating the field work of oceanographers from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, in order calculate the impact of ocean warming on east Greenland's outlet glaciers. Recent research has shown that Greenland's glaciers are being melted from underneath by contact with subtropical water.
