Shell's Polar Pioneer Leaves Seattle

Royal Dutch Shell's offshore oil rig, the Polar Pioneer, holds off of Bainbridge, Washington in the Puget Sound as it changes tug companies . The rig is enroute from Seattle to Alaska's Chuckchi Sea. The Polar Pioneer is one of two drilling vessels heading towards the Arctic for Shell this year. The second, the Noble Discoverer, is one of the oldest drill ships in the world
