Toxics (campaign title)
Staged Artistic Studio Image with Imported Fruits from Brazil in Germany
Shooting to visualize the use of pesticides in imported fruits from Brazil in Germany. The luminous color symbolizes the use of pesticides.
During food inspections, elevated pesticide levels exceeding the permitted residue level are repeatedly found in fruit from Brazil. These residues also originate from pesticides that are used in Brazil but are banned or not approved in the EU. When these residues come from pesticides that we have previously sent to the growing countries, we are talking about the cycle of poisons. The planned EU-Mercosur trade agreement provides for lowering tariffs on pesticides. This will make toxic exports to Mercosur countries even more lucrative for German companies, such as Bayer and BASF.
