Still from 'Wasteminster' Animation
Wasteminster is the launch film for Greenpeace's 2021 campaign against the UK's waste exports to other countries. Voiced by impressionists Matt Forde and Jon Culshaw, the film features Boris Johnson being engulfed in a wave of plastic while giving a speech in Downing Street. Producers Park Village and Studio Birthplace used a bespoke VFX simulation to create the dynamic flow of 1.8 million kilos of plastic - the amount of waste the UK exports to other countries every day.

Stills from "Wasteminster" Animation
Stills of "Wasteminster", an animation for Greenpeace UK by Studio Birthplace which reveals the government's hypocrisy when it comes to the UK's plastic waste. Despite Prime Minister Boris Johnson's claims that the UK is a global leader in tackling pollution, the majority of UK waste ends up dumped and burned in far flung countries that don't have the capacity to deal with it.
The voiceover features impressionists Matt Forde as Boris Johnson and Jon Culshaw as Michael Gove.
