Activists drop stones, from the ship Beluga II, onto the North Sea bed to protect marine life from beam trawling and gravel extraction. The North Sea has been seriously damaged by many years of intensive fishing. Locations:Europe-Germany-North Sea-SyltDate:2 Aug, 2011Credit:© Daniel Müller / GreenpeaceMaximum size:3543px X 2362pxKeywords:Actions and protests-Banners-Commercial fishing-Day-Fisheries-Fishing (Industry)-Greenpeace activists-Hard hats-KWCI (GPI)-Marine Reserves (campaign title)-MV Beluga II-Oceans (campaign title)-Outdoors-Rocks-Three peopleShoot:Stone Wall Action in the North SeaGreenpeace continues building a ‘stone wall’ to mark a Marine Reserve and stop destructive bottom trawling off the island of Sylt, Germany.
