Activists from many different coalitions, including Beyond Extreme Energy, confronted the Democratic party's weak positions on climate change by using nonviolent direct action to disrupt business as usual in and around the offices of Democratic National Convention (DNC) Chair Debbie Wasserman Shultz in Washington, DC.

Six Beyond Extreme Energy activists blockaded the doors at the DNC Headquarters, calling on the party to stand on the side of people and the planet instead of the fracked-gas industry, ultimately opposing the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP).
